Zeynep's (mis)Adventures in Ruritania

arise, oh people, let us hear your voices... your voices of freedom.

am, are, is

Things are going... better than expected? Which is difficult to say when I really didn't have any expectations of what would be happening in the first place, but it's better than whatever I was not expecting.

We acquired the house next door faster than we thought, so we've been living there now. It didn't take us too long to unpack, and the place is slowly taking up a home-like feel. This place has three bedrooms; my sister and I are in one, my two brothers in the second, and my parents in the third. There's a small kitchen area which then leads into the dining/living room, accompanied with one bathroom. It's a small space, that's for sure, but I'm trying to keep up my best spirits.

a new life, an uncertainty looms

I hate moving... especially when you're rushed and scared, leaving places you once called home for completely new and unknown elements.

My Uncle Zack has been a miracle worker these last few days, letting my entire family move in with him and my cousin. My sister Zoe and I now share a room with our cousin, Azalea (who's just a little older than me) while my parents are in the process of acquiring the house next door. Uncle Zack is sharing his room with my brothers, Ezra and Zeke, while my parents are sleeping in the living room area. I hope that we can get this worked out soon because with the current living situation, it's only a matter of time before we all go crazy!

Upon inspection of the town we now live in, I found a small internet cafe attached to a library and decided to step in for a moment. The man working at the counter was really helpful and explained how the system works. It's fairly simple and the rate's better than the cafe I lived near in Duchovnyville, so I think I'll try to make it a weekly ritual. And also, now that I'm not in school, I want to keep reading on my own, so the internet is my best alternative. The clerk allowed me to take a free test drive at the cafe for an hour. He also told me that the cafe closes when the internet signal goes down, which is a "more than rare" occurance and will last for hours at a time. I know I won't mind these rolling internet blackouts because, well, I'm just happy that this town has an internet cafe!

Oh, and, as is obvious, I started this blog.
